Echoes of a Quiet Time

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate it. Genesis 3:6

God is a loving God.  He provide for everything we need so we will be able to live good life.  Obedience to God is very important to Him, we are commanded to obey, we should do it wholeheartedly and never doubt about God's reasons or purpose why He says so.

Eve took light of God's command not to eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, instead of obeying God she allowed herself to be deceived by the serpent's scheme.

When we are not focus on God, there is a tendency that we will be deceive by the lies of this world, our security, our joy will not depend on what God can do for our lives but to the temporary comforts that the world offers.  There are times in our lives that we become impatience with the things we are waiting for in our prayers, faithless and doubtful wondering if God really listens, but just like in a dart game where the player is focus on its target, may we learn to focus on God regardless of the setbacks, the delays, the waiting times. I just know that beyond those trying times God is working for our good, our prayers, our faith, our unending perseverance will never be in vain.
