God is With Us

The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, they will call him Immanuel, which means "God is with us." Matthew 1:23

"GOD IS WITH US" what a great way to remind us about the reason for the season.

There's always something about Christmas that makes my heart leap for joy, with whatever I have, whether I have plenty or few, I just love whatever reasons Christmas brings to everyone. One quote said "Christmas is the only time people forget the past and the future and focus entirely on the "present" this somehow reflect on why happiness is such a common description we can see during Christmas.

I have a real deep talk with God last night before Christmas dinner, I told him how grateful I am for the gift of life, I tried to think of many countless ways that God sustains me and my family, my heart feels for those many people who didn't make it to celebrate Christmas this year, those 20 innocent kids and 6+ others of the recent Newtown, Conneticut shooting, those affected families of typhoon Pablo that until now they are still struggling of how are they going to move on in life after those devastating experiences, it's not that God is not with them, but I'd like to think that whatever took place in those incidences is primarily a consequence or a result of man's neglect, one person sin or carelessness whether to other person or to his environment can cause the lives of many others. This make me realize that each one of us is accountable for every action or decision we made each day.

I'm grateful that I can still celebrate Christmas with my Mom, it's more than a decade that we celebrate Christmas with no father around, Christmas for me will never be complete without my Mom beside me, in years to come I don't know how it will take place, but for now I'm grateful that I can celebrate it with her. I miss Christmas with my siblings but situations doesn't allow us to do so, but with the knowledge that they are doing okey most importantly they are in good health, makes me see that we are blessed.

I'm praying for Kenon and Neth's health, they are two of my closest friend at church, I pray that they will be healthy and strong again very soon, one of the things I want this Christmas is that to see them well. I came across with this verse in the Bible yesterday, "Is there anything too hard for the Lord?" I know with God anything is possible,

God Is With Us, it's I believe the best gift that we all can have, the presence of God is something priceless and precious that nothing in the world that people sometimes value can be compared of.  We might be happy if we happen to receive the latest and most updated gadgets available in the market, but all those excitement will eventually fade soon. So even if we don't receive what we desire for this season, life should continue to move on, there still a reason to say "Merry Christmas" because truly Christmas becomes merry when we learn to count our blessings and declare our gratitude to God not just because he is able to give us an ample supply of what we need but more than anything He is with us always.

From my family to yours, A very Merry Christmas!
